Dynamic Stability and Traction Control

Volvo Dynamic Stability Traction Control (DSTC) enables you to use all the engine power, even on slippery surfaces. It's a great aid for maintaining your speed and trajectory through a slippery curve.

Safety

Protections for modern living

It goes without saying that your safety is a priority in the C30 - the unique frontal structure and intelligent safety features help to confirm that. Active features like IDIS and DSTC assist you when avoiding any nasty surprises.

Rear Collision Protection

As so many accidents happen at the rear of the car, the C30 features an optimised mix of different grades of steel to provide strength and carefully controlled deformation in a rear impact - plus pretensioners with load limiters on all seats to help protect you from the unexpected.

Side Impact Protection System

The C30's Side Impact Protection System distributes crash forces across a large part of the car's body, helping to reduce the impact on its occupants. Front seat side airbags and IC (Inflatable Curtains) also help reduce the risk of injury to the head, chest and hips in side impacts.

Whiplash Protection System

In a rear collision, the C30's Whiplash Protection System instantly moves the backrest rearwards to help prevent the occupant being thrown forwards. The upper part of the backrest also moves up to help reduce back and neck strain.

Interior Air Quality System

We're just as concerned with the quality of the air inside your vehicle as outside. That's why with the roof up, Volvo's Interior Air Quality System (IAQS) monitors the cabin air to remove harmful substances and particles.

Diesel Particulate Filter

Because we're just as concerned with what happens outside the car as what happens inside, there is an advanced particulate filter to both the C30's diesel engines which eliminates 95% of particulate emissions. Fresh thinking, indeed.

Clean and Healthy Interior

There's no place for plastics and materials with toxic emissions inside the Volvo C30. So it's no surprise that all of its interior fabrics comply with the ecological Oeko-Tex standard 100.
