Integrated Two-stage Child Booster Cushions

All children grow, so the new 2-stage integrated booster cushion is designed to seat children of different sizes. Using the cushion, children will also enjoy the extra protection of the new extended inflatable curtain - IC - and safety belts with specially adjusted force limiters, protecting the child by using just the right amount of tensioning force in an impact.

Stronger Side, Front and Rear Protection

The Volvo V70 is equipped with SIPS - the Side Impact Protection System that absorbs and distributes the forces throughout the body in an effective manner. The SIPS-bag works in tandem with two separate chambers, one for the hip area, the other for the chest, for better ergonomic protection.

Private Locking and Security Cargo

The Volvo V70 comes with private locking preferences - to keep unwanted visitors from entering your storage areas and tailgate. The roomy load compartments also have new features, such as aluminium cargo rails and sliding hooks. Everything to keep the cargo in its place.

With a choice of three audio levels - Performance, High Performance, and the outstanding Premium Sound with Dynaudio - the V70 has a sound system that makes the most of your music. All your music, that is, since you can connect your portable music devices and USB memory to the car system.

Personal Car Communicator

Did you remember to lock the car when you left it? Is the alarm activated? With the PCC, you will always know the answer. PCC applies the latest in two-way radio technology, to make your car key a smart connection with your Volvo V70. When in range and if the alarm is activated, a heartbeat sensor will tell you if there's anyone still inside your car. The PCC even unlocks the door as you grab the handle.

Detecting Your Blind Spot

This advanced Volvo safety system, the Blind-Spot Information System or BLIS, uses digital cameras and sophisticated software to continuously check your blind spot. Which means you can concentrate more on the driving.

The Volvo V70 experience now features six-cylinder power. The T6 twin-scroll turbo engine with six cylinders offers an entirely new driving experience - swift and sporty All-Wheel Drive with 210kW and 400 Nm.

Interior Air Quality System

The V70's cabin filter prevents dust, exhaust particles and pollen from entering the car through its ventilation system. Add the optional Interior Air Quality System, and it will also check for certain unhealthy gases as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide.

Tested for Harmful Substances

Making life more comfortable for people with allergies or asthma, upholsteries and interior textiles comply with a Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - an international benchmark ensuring that textiles and leathers are tested for certain allergy inducing or harmful substances.

Clean Zone Interior Package - CZIP

Approved by the Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association, the Volvo V70's CZIP builds on the Interior Air Quality System to offer asthma or hay fever sufferers a real breath of fresh air. When the car is unlocked via remote control, the passenger compartment is automatically ventilated for about a minute (should the temperature be above 10 degrees Celsius) to 'flush' impurities from the cabin.
